What are the characteristics of bearing isolators?
Bearing isolator (bearing protector) is a non-contact, wear-free long-term bearing protection device. It contains a dynamic ring and a static ring, the dynamic and static rings are integrated into one, so the two will not be separated during operation. Generally speaking, the moving ring rotates with the shaft, and the stationary ring mounting part is press-fitted into the bearing housing end cover. The dynamic and static rings work together to prevent external contaminants from entering the bearing housing and prevent the leakage of the lubricating medium. The high-quality bearing isolator is made of metal material, usually brass, and is equipped with a vapor barrier ring that blocks the free entry and exit of external water vapor, preventing external water vapor from being sucked back due to the cooling of the air inside the bearing housing when the equipment is shut down bearing housing, thereby reducing the lubricating performance of the lubricant. The sealing performance of the bearing isolator does not degrade over time, which allows it to provide long-lasting bearing protection for rotating equipment.
Bearing Isolator Features:
1. Non-contact, no axis;
2. Zero friction, zero power consumption;
3. No maintenance, long-term bearing protection point;
4. Anti-steam O-ring design prevents water vapor from entering the bearing housing when the equipment is cooled;
5. The protection level can reach IP66;
6. The line speed can reach 60 m/s;
7. Reusable inflammation;
8. Universal design applicable temperature range: -35° C 204° C;
9. The split design can be provided, which is convenient for installing the support;
10. The production material is mainly copper, and stainless steel, aluminum alloy and polytetrafluoroethylene can also be selected for extreme working conditions.
